The 16th International Conference on Hybrid and Organic Photovoltaics #HOPV24 took place from 13-15 May 2024 at the Palau de la Exposició in València, Spain.
This edition, had the pleasure of having Bruno Ehrler from AMOLF and the University of Groningen, together with Jovana Milic from Soft Matter Physics at the University of Fribourg, Adolphe Merkle Institute as general scientific organisers. Their pivotal role in shaping the conference program ensured its resounding success, addressing key topics for attendees such as #Hybrid and #Organic #Photovoltaics, #Perovskites, #SolarCells and #SolarEnergyConversion, among others.
The event included plenary sessions with distinguished speakers and daily special sessions, with a special session dedicated to Prof. Michael Graetzel in recognition of his 80th birthday and for being a great inspiration to the entire scientific community for his contribution to photoconversion research.
The conference served as a platform for three days during which attendees had the opportunity to share knowledge and impressions in the field of hybrid and organic photovoltaics. In addition, young scientists were also given the opportunity to showcase their recent research to the attending scientific community. We congratulate Stefania Riva, Zhongjin Shen, Thelma Serrano and Feray Ünlü for their outstanding research results, which were recognised with the Best Poster Award.
From nanoGe we would like to sincerely thank all the participants, poster authors, speakers and scientific organizers, whose collective efforts have contributed significantly to the success of HOPV24.
