The Bioelectronic Interfaces: Materials, Devices, and Applications (CYBIOEL24) conference took place from October 22nd to 25th, 2024, at the Crowne Plaza Limassol in Limassol, Cyprus.
The conference was pleased to have as scientific organisers Eleni Stavrinidou (Linköping University) and Achilleas Savva (Delft University of Technology), who set the stage for a week focused on the latest developments in bioelectronics, particularly in environmental, agricultural and biotechnological applications.
The conference featured key discussions on topics such as the continuous improvement of material properties for high performance bioelectronic devices, the use of conducting polymer devices to explore the gut-brain connection in health and disease, and the potential of bioengineered electrical microbes in electronics. There were also in-depth sessions on the operation and potential applications of organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) in the field.
This conference served as a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange between established researchers and early-career scientists, fostering discussions on both theoretical concepts and practical innovations in bioelectronics.
We would like to thank all participants, speakers and organisers for their contributions to the success of the conference.
