Advancements in Light-Emitting Materials: Highlights from #EMLEM24

The Emerging Light-Emitting Materials Conference (#EMLEM24) was held from October 16th to 18th, 2024, at the Atlantica Kalliston Resort in La Canea, Crete, Greece.

Organized by Grigorios Itskos (University of Cyprus), Sohee Jeong (Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea), and Jacky Even (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées), their role in shaping the program ensured a successful week of conference focused on advancing the understanding and application of light-emitting materials.

Key topics addressed included:

  • Nanocrystal organization and its implications for material functionality.
  • The role of surface ligands in exciton scattering.
  • Advances in aziridinium bromide and lead quantum dots.
  • Fundamental studies on light-induced structural behaviors and charge transport, with an emphasis on their integration into high-efficiency photovoltaic devices.

The conference provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange among established researchers and early-career scientists, fostering discussions on both theoretical and practical aspects of the field.

Acknowledgment is due to all participants, speakers, and organizers, as well as to our sponsor, Qlibri, for their contributions to the event’s success.

We are pleased to announce that the next edition #EMLEM25 is confirmed, stay tuned to our website and our social media channels for all updates on upcoming conferences.
